PATRONAGE - 100 words
Sylvia sipped her glass of sangria, trying to conceal how
devastated she felt.
Mario hadn’t even looked back as he strode off wearing the
Rolex she’d bought him - such a cruel boy to call her old! Age was a state of
mind, not years.
A voice broke into her thoughts. “You buy, Señora? I paint just for
you.”
Sylvia stared at the painting – surely she didn’t look that
cross?
She was about to snap a refusal when she looked up at the artist and her
pulse quickened.
“What a clever boy you are! Let me buy you a drink.”
