CACTUS WALK

You really have to look from a distance to appreciate the size of this cactus - and the height at which it displays its flowers.
Then you get a bit closer and look up - really crane your neck - and there they are.

Like the other cactus flower I photographed last month - one day of beauty and they're gone.

  2. Amazing. My Mum used to collect cacti but they were tiny and she kept them on the living room window sill!

  3. Maurice - you must have seen some of these, surely?
Thorn birds, Shirley? I must read the book again. and Ros - your mum would have difficulty fitting these in her house, let alone on her windowsill,

  4. We don't have big cacti like this where I live, but I've seen some similar ones in Arizona. These are great pictures...I love the flowers.
