CLOSE-UP

I have been neglecting my blog lately but I have two good reasons - one is that the A-Z Challenge used up all my blogging energies for a while, and the other is that I am concentrating on finishing the re-write about which I told my readers during the April Blog Slog.

Anyway, just to keep it ticking over, here are a few photos I took this week.

The first one is of course an estrelizia - strelitzia in the UK or Bird of Paradise flower, This is the most perfect one I've seen blooming on my morning walks recently.

I have also been experimenting with close-ups - the first photo is of poinsettia flowers that have appeared on last Christmas's plant which is now bursting into new life.

and finally, guess who had to get in the picture?

  1. Don't believe the bit about A to Z taking all your blogging energy, feeble excuse. I'm still going strong with mine and now on the roadtrip.

  2. Good job with the close ups my friend. Close ups is a whole new world full of excitement and new discoveries. My time has been consumed to getting my new blog and website going after the AtoZ challenge. Dumb move I lost my followers starting the new blog. If I was smart I would've just changed the name of the old one. :) Oh well!

Beautiful photos. I wish Bird of Paradise grew in my climate :-)

  5. Thank you for the lovely photos, Lizy. I think that what we see can be just as important as words. You've made me think of a different climate to the UK, beautiful flowers and maybe a holiday in the Mediterranean.

  6. I'm deep in rewrites too, Lizy, so I know exactly how you're feeling. The blog stuff gets left behind, doesn't it?

    Lovely photos.
